Terms of Service
Effective date: August 1, 2026 · Last updated: August 1, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) before using Dagly(“the App”), operated by Victor Hall (“we,” “our,” or “us”).
By downloading, installing, or using Dagly, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
Dagly is intended for parents and guardians. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. By adding information about a child to your account, you confirm you are that child’s parent or legal guardian, or otherwise have the right to add that information.
2. The Service
Dagly is a weekly planner for families: you can add your children, create and manage their events, capture events by voice, receive reminders, and share the week with a co-parent via text message and a shareable link. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
3. Your Account
You can sign in to Dagly with Sign in with Apple, your Google account, or your email address (with a password or a one-time magic link). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. You must provide accurate information and notify us promptly of any unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of everything you add to Dagly — children’s names and photos, events, and notes (“Your Content”). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the service to you (for example, syncing it to your devices, generating reminders, and rendering shared week views).
You agree not to upload content that is illegal, infringes others’ rights, or contains malicious code. You are responsible for having the right to share any information you add about other people (including your children and your co-parent’s contact details).
5. Partner Sharing
When you invite a co-parent to share your week, Dagly generates an invite link containing a unique token, which you can send as a text message from your own phone. Only share this link with the person you intend to invite — anyone who uses it can join your family’s shared calendar. Once your partner accepts the invite, they become a co-parent with full access to view and add events on your shared calendar. You can remove a co-parent from your account at any time in the app, which immediately revokes their access.
6. Subscriptions (Dagly Plus)
Some features require a paid subscription, Dagly Plus, offered as an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription purchased through the Apple App Store.
- Pricing is shown in the App Store in your local currency before purchase. Prices may change; existing subscribers are notified before renewal at a new price.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Cancellation. Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
- Free trials, if offered, convert automatically to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- The free tier of Dagly may be limited (for example, in the number of children or visible weeks). We may adjust what is included in the free and paid tiers over time.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, or access it by any means other than the App itself
- Attempt to access other users’ data
8. Intellectual Property
The App — including its design, code, features, and branding — is owned by Victor Hall and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding. Feedback and suggestions you send us may be used without obligation to you.
9. Apple App Store
These Terms are between you and Victor Hall, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. In the event the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government restricted-party list.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST. Dagly is a planning aid — you remain responsible for your family’s schedule, and you should not rely on the App or its reminders as your only record of important appointments.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VICTOR HALL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA OR MISSED APPOINTMENTS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR 50 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including under EU and Swedish consumer protection law.
12. Termination
You may stop using Dagly at any time and delete your account in the App (Profile → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that harms other users or the service. Upon termination, your license to use the App ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved by the courts of Sweden. If you are a consumer in the EU, you retain the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, and you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and notify you in the App or by email. Continued use of Dagly after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The current version is always available at dagly.app/terms.
These Terms are available in Swedish and English. If the versions differ, the Swedish version prevails.
